This model has
NEVER
been touched, taken out of the box or displayed!  It's literally brand new!!  In fact, this is the first and only time the outer shipping box and styrofoam casing have ever been opened to show the complete original packaging as it was done by Franklin Mint!
You can see the still wrapped
paperwork documentation binder with Certificate of Authenticity (also untouched) for the ship.  Once these pictures were taken, the outer box was resealed.
On the other side of the base is a nameplate that shows the numbered limited edition.
The ship is approximately 22" long, made out of solid mahogany & diecast metal, and is also hand painted!  The Yamato was the largest battleship in the Japanese Imperial Naval fleet, and was taken down by the aircraft from the U.S.S. Yorktown aircraft carrier (The Yorktown is avalable as well and will be a separate listing)!  It's a very rare and hard to find piece with only 1,941 pieces made worldwide!
