This set of two books contain information that dealership parts & service departments used to order parts. The illustrations in the book will help you to identify parts, and the exploded views can aid you with the assembly or disassembly of some parts of the vehicle. This is only the illustration section of the parts book. It does not have the text volume with full part numbers. You will find page after page of exploded view illustrations for parts labeled with original part group numbers (group numbers only, not full part numbers). Covers mechanical, body, and interior parts, including engine, carburetor, fuel, exhaust, electrical, transmission, brakes, axles, suspension, steering, heater, a/c, bumper, grille, sheet metal, mouldings, and interior trim.
The special information section at the front of the book includes charts for each year with basic engine data and power teams, listing which engine displacement goes with other features such as compression ratio, bore, stroke, horsepower, carburetor, and transmission. You'll also learn about rear axle and transmission identification as well as RPO codes. Supplementary data in the back includes generator charts, carburetor charts (for full-size, chevy Ii and Covair), bulb and fuse chart, paint combination chart (year model, paint color, wheel color, and combination number), and a 29-page list of casting, forging, stamping, molded or printed numbers giving the identification number, part number, group number, and a short name.
